All volunteers get a free Great Lakes Bioneers Chicago Volunteer t-shirt and:

  • Free same-day admission (except to the Friday’s reception and Sunday’s breakfast).
  • Snacks and beverages in the Volunteer Lounge.
  • Behind the scenes access.

Volunteer Policy
It is VERY IMPORTANT that you show up for your volunteer hours – we will rely on you.

Our volunteer policy is as follows:

  • You must be at least 18 years of age to volunteer unless supervised by a parent.
  • Volunteer positions are limited and scheduled in the order they are received.
  • After you complete your volunteer hours, turn in your signed confirmation sheet to your supervisor to receive your free same day pass.
  • Volunteers must arrive on time (15 minutes early) to their scheduled shifts and be ready to work!
  • Volunteers must not leave their shift without permission from Great Lakes Bioneers Chicago staff. (If your shift falls during meal times, you will receive a short meal break. Please do not eat while volunteering.)
  • Walk-in volunteers are not accepted – you must apply to volunteer IN ADVANCE.
  • Volunteers will be required to attend one orientation social.
